Looking for a type of gear oil used in part of the traction drive in my Yamaha. The factory manual says to replace with ether Santrack #40 [Monsunt] or Mitsubishi TD22 [Simpo USA]. Would really like to change out this oil but cant find a replacement. Anyone?

No. The cross just is 75w-90. The oil type in the traction drive is what i am trying to find. Thank you.

Those are cool looking snowblowers. I've never seen one aside from pictures online. Is the traction drive hydrostatic like a Honda? If so, like Johnny says, go with what Honda specs for their hydrostatic drive snowblowers. Hydros typically use anything from a 20wt to a 50wt motor oil. I've never even remotely heard of the 2 oils you mentioned in the first post.

Great info. Never thought about checking what Honda uses. I posted pictures of the one i own on that web site old.nabble.com under title Ebay ys624. Just want to be really sure to use the correct type oil as the drive system parts are very expensive. Thanks again.
