This is the Motorcraft FL-820-S equivalent. Was on my 2004 Ford Explorer 4.0L SOHC. Two OCI, 2k miles each; two years total. Napa full syn 5W30.
I just cut it open with a die grinder.
A very solid filter. The filter element is like a brick. You can't even push the pleats apart with your fingers. All of the steel is quite thick. I burned up a lot of grinding wheel cutting through it.
What a shame the filtration isn't better, this would be my go-to filter for everything.
I could not find date code anywhere. Maybe it wore off after two years?
