Sounds like someone got a big bill for an auto trans repair once...

My wife once drove our Silverado with a cooler line blowing fluid all over the place. Luckily she noticed its behavior changing and saw smoke, so she pulled over.

We fixed her on the side of the road (the truck, not the wife) with a piece of fuel line and a couple of hose clamps, 5 quarts of fluid got her moving again.

Never a hiccup, sold at well past 120k miles...

Agreed, she will be fin. When the pump cant create pressure, it doesn't move. Like running out of gas.
