I've never used a tap and die before so I'm looking at this set and after watching a couple videos, I'm concerned that the tool the dies sit in is too long to turn because the other studs will be in the way. Will it work somehow or do you recommend something else? I'm hoping to get one locally because I can't really wait for something online to be delivered.
Will this tap and die (in a set) work to fix a wheel stud?

Spin it with vice grips. They do make special ones just for lug studs but I don't think hf has those.
You can buy hex shaped dies that you drive with a socket

No need for that. Replace the stud.
If you have messed up threads on a stud you shouldn’t be using a die. That is for cutting new threads. Instead you should be using a thread restorer kit. You can rent them for free from autozone. https://www.autozone.com/loan-a-tools/loaner-thread-restorer-set

Had a stud just twist right off on a Chev van I had. All hand threaded and manually torqued.
Still under basic warranty.

Update: Thankfully when the stud snapped off, it was at the end so after using the die with vice grips, I was able to rethread AND there was enough thread to secure a new lug nut.
