My Volvo has a 5 Speed Automatic AW 55-50/51SN transmission by Aisin Warner.

Required fluid is jws3309 (ATF0T4).

1. Which of these fluid is compatible meets the requirements?

A. Mannol 8210 /Mannol 8218. Product details and datasheet in below links

- http://sct.autodevel.com/en/?action=accessory_chemical_preview&name=ATF Multivehicle

B. Aisin AFW+. Product details and datasheet in below link

2. If both are compatible, which is the preferred / better fluid as I am getting both at the same price.

Get the Aisin AFW+. It shows the viscosity properties, as an example, that Mannol does not show. For that reason I'd grab the Aisin.

Another option for that transmission (and I have several Volvos with that transmission) is Toyota T-IV, available at a local toyota Dealer. I reckon there has to be a Toyota Dealer in Dubai. The T-IV meets JWS3309.

Of the two you listed, the Aisin.

Skip the Genuine Volvo fluid - it is the Toyota T-IV at four times the price. People think that because it is outrageously expensive, that it must be synthetic, but I went over the PDS with the Volvo Parts folks at my local dealer. Turns out that the Volvo Genuine fluid is simply outrageously expensive, nothing more. It’s a group III base.

We had several of these units in our stable over the years and I agree with Astro.
FYI: the Wolf's Head Super Universal Synthetic Transmission fluid was among the ones I bought cases of and it worked well too.
+1 on the Toyota T-IV as well as genuine Mobil3309 found in a shop in Virginia.
I have 4 qts. of Aisin fluid standing by for my next D&F.
No need for gallons of the stuff standing by anymore.

The Toyota T-IV is also available at the same price. Any preference between the Aisin and Toyota T-IV?

No preference from me. The transmission in your car will be happy you changed it. I’ve got nearly 300,000 on the wife’s XC (see below) and it’s got the original transmission. A full fluid exchange on the car is a simple DIY. Directions here:

You’ll need a couple of o-rings, some PVC tubing and about 14 quarts.
