What's in your grease gun???

It’s not often that I change cartridges as I only grease two trucks but today was the day!

This is the Canadian Tire store brand made by Citgo and is the same as Mystik Synthetic AFAIK. I used to use Mobil 1 Synthetic, but unfortunately like many others, I found it to be too drippy. Inside my old cartridge was a bit of grease that I swiped out and put into an empty, clean spice jar. I’ll do a drip test this summer. By the way, I searched this thread for Formula 1 Synthetic and found I loaded a cartridge in 2018, 2020 and now, for a rough average of one every two years.

Here is what the grease did in the spice jar. One blob fell lower in the jar but the liquid never did separate out.

Have you ever done that with m1 grease? just curious.

I have "green grease" in my grease gun.. never had seperation issues.
it goes in the trailer wheel bearings and various tractors.
one tube lasts me about 2 years at this rate.

still have an extra tube.. so looking at 2026 for my next grease purchase

I bought this grease gun at auction, it also came with a few tubes of mystik JT2. I assume it’s the same grease that is loaded in this gun. I left it outside on the ground for a few hours in 95 degree heat and it peed out a little. Not really complaining, but only observing. The grease came out the business end without issue.

I like Redline because of it's better properties and performance in automotive/hunting but if someone needs to use some I loan out the Valvoline Synpower. Kinda like my beer; I like the better stuff and give the cheap stuff to everyone else 😂😆

Broke the plunger rod trying to reload the Milwaukee M18 grease gun. Seems like a common issue, ordered 3 replacement rods, replaced it easy enough. Reloaded with Delvac Xtreme Commercial Vehicle Grease.
