I get all itchy when I have too many miles on my oil. Kinda like when you see a tick crawling on you, and then every sensation feels like a tick.

Just knowing you are going to run that oil 10,000 miles has me wanting to sneak over and change your oil in the middle of the night.

Come to think of it, have you noticed your oil looks cleaner at 8,000 than it did at 6,000? hehe

Just did the 6 month oil change rotations on my two Fords:
'99 Taurus 24V got Mobil 1 5w/30 EP (FL820s filter)
'01 Windstar got Mobil 1 5w/40 T/SUV (FL400s)

I also replaced the fuel filters, air filters, cabin filters, and evacuated/ refilled 7qts of tranny fluid for both vehicles (van got a new trans filter for 60K service)

Despite what I was going to do, I opted to try Amsoil.
05 Corolla
Amsoil 0W30 with NAPA Gold 1396 filter.
Zero clatter at startup regardless of temp.
so far so good, but I may go back to Mobil 1 5W30 for cost. I am finally seeing their new formulation on shelves here in Ontario.
