It's hit and miss in my area. Stewart's and fastrac locations sometimes still have the auto hold tangs. Indy stations usually do.

I do see that from time to time. I'm one of the few that would prefer to pump my own gas. Only time I don't is when it's 10F outside.

Does NJ even let you pump your own gas? I've never had the option when I've filled up there. I tried once when the attendant took too long to come out, and as soon as I pulled the nozzle out, he was out there like lightning as if I were robbing a bank or something.

It depends. I've been at stations that were getting slammed and rather than wait I did it myself. Some thank me, some tell I can't do it. It's been many years though since I've attempted it.
