Look how Moly is kind of on the way out and boron is in. Especially with the Honda oil synonymous with high moly content. Lower ZDDP for SN Cat "protection". TBN not that great but I'm sure will do most Honda engines OK for OLM cycle. Thank you for this post I was curious about the new formulation. I think I would stick to motorCraft unless you can get the Honda stuff cheaper...fat chance on that.

Thank you for this voa. Looking at a voa recent of Motorcraft, the Motorcraft has more boron less moly, less zinc, less phos, less cal.So the Motorcraft is not the same as the new 5-20 blend. Not by much and who knows how accurate these figures are at times. But again thank you for taking time to do this.

That is definetly a CP oil - they use higher Boron than moly in their oils - check out the recent VO of Kendall GT-1 in this section.

If for some reason you wanted this Conoco blend, you can get it from HandA accessories with shipping, a case, for $4.38 qt. As I have said before the stealer price if you can find someone that knows about it in parts, is $7.35 plus tax here in NYC. That price does not include dinner or a movie. The thing I think about re. the TBN is that the olm goes out to 6,7 k before it hits 15% in certain cases.

I've never seen a Honda Brand 5W-20 that's high in moly.
It's a big part of their full syn' 0W-20 (low vis' hi VI) oil as it is with the other Japanese OEM's but not in their domestic supplied 5W-20 grades.

Looks Like I can get them for 3.64 $/qt including S&H & tax from H&A.

UOAs (mostly other people) I've collected for my vehicle look like they OLM = 15% between 10-11K, but one is 4K and another 8.5K. Mine recently reached 15% at 7549 mi.

The Owner's Manual effectively says change the oil at 5% or before 0% (service-now), or every 12 months (not including factory fill), whichever is sooner. The 15% indication down-to and not including 5% is an (annoying) service-soon range.
