Hmmm. Here is the same oil with 2900 miles of use in a Motorcycle.Maybe this was the SJ used in the bike ? Here is the thread.

dragboat, I did not know Schaeffers did testing. How can I purchase a kit because I bought a gallon of the Delvac 1300 and would be happy to test some from the same batch at a different lab. mikeyoilnutt
 
I saw another uoa for CI-4 delvac 1300 and it had a much more robust additive package than your sample shows. I wonder if you got some CH-4 rated stuff packaged as CI-4.
 
I can confirm that the 2900 mile sample from the motorcycle was marked CI-4/SL. Whether or not that is what was actually in the bottle is another question.

Mobil 1 formulations changed quite often during the SJ to SL changeover, I wonder if they were playing with the Delvac formulations during the CH-4 to CI-4 switch as well?
