Vehicle has been sitting..

2013 vw passat s goes 3 months parked outdoors with a full tank of gas and nothing special done to it when i am in asia. no battery tender, aaa battery is 2+ yrs old. starts up and goes without issue. note, as the plain-vanilla, base model my passat has no turbo, no electronic nannies.

General rule of thumb is a flooded lead acid battery self-discharges about 1% per day just sitting by itself. In addition, A 20mah draw is a generally accepted sitting load. That’s roughly 1AH per day. Typical car battery is 45 AH. So, 30 days of sitting by itself takes the battery pretty low when you add the two.

What was the longest amount of time you had your vehicle sit and still able to start the vehicle without jumping it?

I got a vehicle sitting in the garage about 4 months with doors unlocked. I am not there to start the vehicle but wonder if it is able to start without jumping it.

Factory panasonic from 2008 on my friend's Evo sitting around 2015-2017/18.

If car sits a lot, you could put in a battery kill switch.

There are some cars that the manufacturer knows wouldn't get driven much. They come with a factory battery kill switch.
