Ublock adblocker

I was getting the same thing Pete. It does it at the News, Detroit Free Press and USA Today, which all are in cahoots with each other and use the same advertisers and website formatters.

Try the new U Adblock. If you type "Ad Block" in the 'Search All Add-on' white box for Firefox, it's one of the last ones listed (out of 130 or-so). There are no adjustments (other than on or off) on my top menu/toolbar. All preferences for it are at the add-ons center for Firefox.

Right now Ublock works fine for me on all three pages you mentioned.

Between Adblock and Adguard, I prefered Adguard - it made Firefox more responsive. But Ublock is even faster than Adguard. I'll continue using it until I find any undesired effects that cramp my style.
 
I do not recall seeing AdGuard listed in the Firefox Add-On search-offerings.

I see why now..... it's not been reviewed by Mozilla Firefox yet and a warning pops up when trying to install it.
