we have an old Rem woodsmaster 308 w/4x glass bought used back in the early seventies..we put it up in the stand days before the hunt..never bother to clean it or sight it in..just spray whatever oil is handy on it after the season and back in the garage til next year..still looks great and does nothing but kill deer.
