Motul 300v 15w-50
stock oil filter

on a side note I noticed the Motul smells almost edible and seems to wash off your hands with soap and water a lot easier than any other oil I have used (car or moto)

M1 10-40HM or 15-50 and OEM/NAPA/Puro filters in my Suzuki 650 and 1000 V-Stroms.

My best viscosity duration was with Amsoil 15w-50. I watched this via the oil pressure gauge on my '93 Kaw Vulcan 88. The Amsoil would keep the 70+ lbs of pressure at 60 mph for over 2500 miles. The Mobil 1 was next, but reproduceably broke up its polymers around 2K. Since my Amsoil pusher jacked up the price to over $9 per quart (and then went TU) I've been using the M1.
I'd be happy to return to the Amsoil if the coin was in proportional parity with my retirement income...

My '03 Kawasaki ZR 7S has Honda GN4 10-40 in it now (was put in by seller 300 miles ago) but the next OCI I'm going to go with Rotella T 15-40 or the T6 synthetic 5-40.

Will probably try to get a Wix or Purolator filter for it.
I might as well run the Honda oil for 1500-2000 miles or so, then put the good stuff in.

Didn't see RT6 synthetic at Walmart. About how much is it per quart?

Got a quart of Rotella T 15-40 to top off the GN4.

I currently have M1 15w-50 silver cap in my 06 Triumph Bonneville and in my BMW R1150RS. Supertech ST6607 filter for the Bonnie. Motorcraft FL910 filter in the BMW.

Honda ST1100 with 142,000kms on it. Ryco or valvoline filters (z436 or equivalent). I use 10W40 or 15W40 HDEOs usually, but just started using Castrol Edge 10W60 synthetic as I use it in the car as well. 10,000kms oil and filter change intervals (OEM is 12,500 but 10,oookms is easier to remember!)

2008 Road King Classic. Just dumped the HD SYN 3 yesterday and put in the following;

Amsoil 20w-50 Engine and Primary
Amsoil 75w-110 Sever Gear in Transmission (concerned about the Texas heat!)
Amsoil Oil Filter.

Running a whole lot smoother and no more 5th gear whine!

2008 Triumph Scrambler 865cc,2003 BMW R1150RT and 2003 H-D Road King all get Wal-Mart silver cap 5 qt. jug Mobil 1 15w50.Beemer/Hd get Redline shock proof heavy in transmission.Beemer gets Mobil 1 75w90 in rear end and HD gets Castrol Tection 15W40 in the primary ('cause I have 10 gallons of the stuff!) My 1972 Honda(all original) CB750 K2 gets the Castrol diesel Tection as well.Because of the heat here in Texas and the known rapid shearing of the Mobil 1,I can change my oil twice as often for the same cost as a single oil change using the admittedly marginally superior Mobil 1 V-Twin. Since I am lucky to have so many bikes and cars these bikes are not ridden that much and consequently get their oil changes annually at around 1,500 miles OCI and filter changes every two years.
