wow! nice video! so basicly has rpm decrease oil pump should supply more oil and diminish it slightly as it increase in rpm ? i wonder if there are such a thing as variable oil pump (or does variable vavle timing do this?
what you say bring a question . does oil filter size affect the oil level in a dynamic environement! i know oil level is important but i dont know if oil filter size is important enough to make oil level go at too high level when on the road?
The oil delivery increases [Warm oil] as the engine speed increases. A variable controls the oil flow to save pumping losses and gain precious MPGs to meet MPG/CAFE standards. Once the oil filter is full of oil the level of the oil will depend upon the drain back to the sump time. In modern engines the rods don't scoop the oil for their lubrication.
