Looking at new Royal Purple oil filter, looks like a good filter. Wix is now offering a synthetic fiberglass element filter for diesel engines, showing 60,000 miles OCI. Lot of people say bad stuff about Fram, but X2 filter is a synthetic element, been out for long time.

Anyone know of other filters using this style media? I heard delco UPF filters are.

This comes up all the time,FRAM does not make a wire backed FULL syn media filter it's a blend, unlike like AMsoil,RP,AC UPF,Fleetguard StrataPore.

NAPA also has a new line of Platinum filters like the RP,fully wire backed.
