shelf life for liquid tape

How long does liquid tape last if you use it a few times a year and seal the can up reasonably well?

I believe its lacquer based,and it dries up rather quickly after opening the can.I have had a can go solid on me after one use.

NHGUY is correct. Once you open it use all that you can as the next time it will probably be solid.

So maybe the small tubes that StarBrite sells would be better. A can is a lifetime supply for many.

How would a butt connector sealed with liquid tape compare to a adhesive lined heatshrink butt connector, in a trailer where it will get water and road dirt/salt on it.

Yes if you can get small tubes of it then that would be best.

This is weird. As you change colors on this item the price and picture changes, from a tube to a can, and in one case the postage changes. Yet title is 1 OZ tube.

Here's a little trick if you have a MIG welder... before closing the can, shoot a little Argon into the container. It will displace the air and, because it's inert, the paint, glue, liquid tape, etc. won't dry.
