Screw in tire...repair or replace ?

I've had tires patched and they've held up real good. They've come a long ways in tire patch technology. But the screw cannot be in the sidewall area or too close to the corner of the sidewall.

So its less than two months old, and a few thousand miles at most, and it got a screw?

Id personally replace it. If they are going to last 65k and a number of years, Id not be keen on a repair.

I might try to keep the old tire though as a spare for later in time...

I would too, but if it's being warrantied out, they probably won't give it to him.

Would you replace it you had to pay $100 but the patch were safe and free? Would you replace it if new tire was free? Now tell us if you would replace it for $28. Answer should be obvious without needing any input from BITOG.
