Schaeffer's trans fluids

I think that the Lubrication Lists for commercial vehicles published by German transmission manufacturers Voith and ZF are pertinate to this discussion. These manufacturers risk their reputations and profits on these lists so they have to carry some weight. Voith lists DexVI (PetroCanada) and Schaeffers #204 on their list for non-extended service. TranSynd and Amsoil are on the list for extended service.

ZF does not list DexVI or Shaeffers but TranSynd is on list TE-ML 14C which is one of their highest ratings. All of the lubes on this list appear to be PAO based fluids and in their FAQ sheet, ZF seems to put a lot on emphasis on the importance of full PAO ATF. IMHO, if you want a superior ATF, you want a full PAO fluid. TranSynd is, even Amsoil says so, but not all fluids that claim to be suitable for TES-295 meet that standard.
