Looks OK. Pleats near the seam look spaced better than most. What was the date code?

This filter had to be three years old and the last of these 3387a filters I had in storage. No date code taken. External can grime and the matte finish diminished my hunt.

You can see the code under my dating-mileage photo.

I'm trying to make out the date code. It's either F11E30 or F11G30

looks like it could be F11G30, but November 30, 2015 hasn't come yet. The G could also stand for 1997, but the P1's didn't look like that back then (old P1's were blue in color and no textured grip--they changed it around 2008).

Note that the code cannot be F11G31 because November only has 30 days.

Maybe that G is either a C (2011) or E (2013). There is definitely a top, middle, and bottom line

At my age, there are only a few items I'd dumpster dive for. A production code off a used oil filter is not one of them. BITOG Investigator Slacktide has it right. It's likely a "C" and a 2011 production.

three years ago purolater had an ok oil filter that was before all the tearing and quality issues with purolater started happening.
