OTOH, reinstalling windows and all your software is a pretty major PITA too. I know -- I'm in the process of installing all my software on yet another new Dell (this time with Win-7U). It's amazing how much time it takes to get all that stuff right again. But I suppose in the face of risking further viral destruction, this may well be the best choice...
