This is a Group III (Australian blended, Korean sourced base) 10W-40 ACEA E4/E6/E7 Euro spec HDEO that also meets CI-4 as well as various Euro Engine manufacturer specs.
NOACK is 9.5% which I think is pretty impressive for an oil that isn't a PAO/ester base.
13.1 cSt is at the low end of an xW-40.
TBN is 12.3

It supposedly has a very robust add pack, which is what I'm most interested in so we'll see how it holds up in the short term, as I'm using it as a stop gap in a problem application.

Penrite Diesel SP is a SAE 10W-40 state-of-the-art,
synthetic performance, European extended
drain/mixed fleet, ultra high performance (UHPD)
diesel oil formulated with additives of the highest
standards to ensure protection against wear,
corrosion, oil oxidation and sludge. Penrite Diesel SP
meets the requirements of ACEA E4/E6/E7 and API
CI-4.

Man I thought that I had a problem with run on sentences!! This oil does look interesting being a CI-4 with 1.05% sulfated ash and a stout TBN. Too bad they didn't list the viscosity index.

yep, noted this when I found the spec sheet but went and ordered it anyway.
It's already in one of our engines (Japanese diesel) and will be interesting what the UOA's show up.
It also helps that it's 25% cheaper than what we've been using for the last seven years.

With 1.05% sulfated ash, it should not list ACEA E6. Anyway, I like the fact that some oil manufacturer don't give a d*** about low SAPS requirements.

Is Mack EO-N Premium Plus based on API CI-4 whereas EO-N Premium Plus 03 is CI-4 Plus?

I am really interested in UOAs of "Euro style HDEOs", I have only seen one so far.

FWIW, an updated TDS is out for this brew. The previous TDS has the visc @ 100* a bit low.
Interesting to see a NOACK under 10% with a predominantly Group III base.
Has quite a 'plastic' smell, would this indicate esters or just be the add package ?
