Hi,

Can anyone tell me which oversize filters would work on my 01, 2.7L Toyota Tacoma in the following brands:

Purolator
Napa ProSelect
Advance Total Grip
STP
Motorcraft
ProLine

Much appreciated,

Dan

Here's your stock filter size in Wix. You have a 3/4-16 thread, a 2.7s/2.4x gasket (the majority are 2.8x/2.4x), and a generic bypass valve setting. The rest is physical can diameter and length.

You diameter is 3.0+/-" (though 2.9x" is an important distinction from 3.0=/+ in some lines.

If you have no restrictions on diameter or length, there are litereally (up to) 40+ options in various offerings.

FL400S would be a longer alternative.

I'm sure it works fine. I tend to try and stay off slight gasket mismatch paranoia preemptively. No bombs to explode.

You could use a PH8A sized filter from any manufacture if you have the space for it.In that size Fords Motorcraft line is great so is Puralator,Baldwin,Hastings,Donaldson Stratapore and the M1 eqivalant are all great filters. It will add to the total capacity of your lube system as well. That is what I ran on my 22RE in my 4Runner and it is also what I ran if I rember right on my Dodge Dakota 4.7LV8.
