Oil and filter

Hey guys.
I have a 1993 and a 1988 ford f250.
The 88 is 4x4 and the 1993 is a 2 wheel drive service truck.
Both have the 7.3 naturally aspirated idi engines made my navistar international.

Both have the zf-5 5 speeds.

I usually run rotella t4 15w40 year round since I live in Mississippi and it hardly gets below freezing here.

I usually run tge motorcraft fl-1995 powerstroke filters instead of the shorter filter that originally came on the idi.

Not looking for a "what should I run?", but more of a "what are you guys running?".

I'm just curious as to what all the other fellow 6.9/7.3 idi owners run. Even if you don't have that specific engine, what are you running with these older diesel turds?

Your choice of 15w40 or 10w30 CK4, really. Changed on schedule.

I've seen good results with Mobil Delvac MX

I use to have an 83 and 87 F250 with 6.9 IDI diesels. I use to run WIX 51742 and Chevron DELO 15w40

The 15W - 40 HDEOs oils from a major , are always a good choice. The wife a 7.3 Powerstroke though.

I just use whatever is cheapest.. because when a difference makes no difference, you might as well just save a few bucks.
