I really miss the old Firestone Town & Country snows with the deep agressive lugs. These are just as good even though the slogan Firestone used to use with the Town & Country "you go in the snow, or we pay the tow" isn't around anymore lol. One night while coming out of work to 12+ inches of snow I had the RWD Gran Fury with 4 Winterforces and coworkers on each side of my car had their 4x4 Explorers and we had all gotten plowed in. The Fury muscled through the deep snow and the Explorers with all season tires were both stuck! I usually get around three winters use out of them, swapping them on Nov 1st and off May 1st. Yes, they're a little noisy / hummy on the highway, but to be almost guaranteed to get going in the winter it's a tradeoff worth having IMO. I highly recommend these tires!
They are excellent in deep snow! Unfortunately, the set I bought for the Focus had bad belts and I just had to order two more.
Last winter after one of the snow storms I decided to go to one of the local malls. Someone in an AWD Fusion struggled and struggled to get in a spot.
Their eyes were huge as my Focus just walked right through the snow berm/bank up to the bumper to get in!
