MAKE/MODEL: Mazda 1.6L 4-cyl
FUEL TYPE: Gasoline (Unleaded)
ADDITIONAL INFO:
OIL TYPE & GRADE: Mobil 5000 5W/30
OIL USE INTERVAL: 5,000 Miles
COMMENTS:
ZACH: Copper read high in this first sample from your Mazda. It shows some wear at brass/bronze parts. Is
this a problem? It's hard to say. We're inclined to give it another test or two to see what happens before
making any hard and fast calls about this reading. Other metals look good, so as long as you're not having
any trouble with this engine, that's our recommendation for now. Universal averages are based on about
4,000 miles on the oil. The viscosity read slightly low, but no contamination was found that might explain
that or the copper. Check back for another look.

My comments:
I am not having any trouble from this engine. I have done two AutoRX clean and flush cycles. They did improve my compression numbers. I am curious if they have influence on this oil sample. I drove 5000 miles and changed the oil once before this test so it should be mostly "uncontaminated." FYI they are below:
Code:
Compression before and after AutoRX
mileage #1 #2 #3 #4
190380 165 130 160 160 Compression (psi)
190380 160 145 160 160 Compression (psi)
200409 170 165 175 175 Compression (psi)
200409 175 170 175 175 Compression (psi)
I use Bosch 3323 filter on this car. The factory suggestion is a 3300; the 3323 is a slightly larger filter.
I drive approximately 80% highway or interstate driving. I put approximately 400 miles a week on this car.
