1991 Caprice, 9C1 Police package, 5.7L, total mileage at oil change was 234,600 miles, 10,000 miles on oil. No oil was added except for 1 qt when I changed the oil filter at 5k miles. Used the “brew”and FP the entire run.

First 87k miles were police use with 5k mile oil changes. I ran Syntec 5w-50 from 1995 until the last run with Mobil 1.

Ran 2 doses of Auto-rx before starting with the Mobil 1. Oil usage/leakage was about 1 qt per 5k miles before the “rx”, this run was only a few ounces down.

TBN for the Mobil 1 was 2.1

Was there a rinse cycle between the final treatment and the M1 run or did you go straight to M1? Wonder if we are seeing any residual effect.
And does 'the brew' mean you continued to run LC at 1oz/1k?

No rinse cycle, went for 10K run. Yes I did use LC the entire run.
At this point I am not too concerned about hurting the engine as the body is likely to give out first due to road salt. Was amazed the auto-rx has basically stopped almost all oil use/leakage, not that a qt per 5k was that bad before.
I took a look at 3MP's 10k results and noticed the results were fairly similar even though we have different 350's.
Also my 10k results are fairly close to Blackstone universal averages for 3,700 miles so I am fairly happy. Don't think there is much I can do about the iron, my theory is a portion of it is corrosion.
