So my Mazda 3 I usually buy whatever name brand full syn 0w20 is on sale. My wife's Odyssey I buy valvoline full syn high mileage or supertech full syn high mileage 0w20.

I have about 4 quarts of a mixture of all these oils. All 0w20 mind you.

Is this oil okay for either car? I'm not sure if all the different additives can cause any ill effects. If anything I'd put it in the Odyssey with 125K miles but curious about other opinions.

I used to do this all the time with older beater cars in my early 20's and never had anything bad happen, mixing just about any weight oil together.

I don't understand this (deliberate) oil mixing thing but in your case you are using left over oil which (I guess) is ok. No harm will come but it's not "optimal".

It's left over from each change. My cars don't burn anything so I never have to add so do I keep ten 1-gallon jugs laying around with a half quart in each one?

Running a mix of 10w30 and 0w20 in the hybrid, about 60/40, have 10w30 and 0w20 in the IS 6:1.

And here is a UOA I did just for these kind of threads : UOA
