Top-tier filtering is overrated. I won't buy basic Frams with sub-par micron ratings (actually any Fram), but there are members here who use it exclusively & have over 300K on their vehicles.
So if you are part of the 95% crowd that doesn't see 300K, there's really no need to spend more than one tier higher than a basic Fram for peace of mind..... that being $5-$7 for Pure Ones, Duralast(Bosch)Premium, Napa Gold (Wix).... etc.
