Microgard 51069 off a 1990 Corvette with a 350 V8 it was in use for 2 years and 4 months and 3000 miles with O'Reilly high mileage 10w40. It was a pretty straight filter my rough handling caused some of the waviness in areas. Replaced with a Denso filter and Shell rotella T4 15W40

Thank you for the pictures. The MicroGards are a 5,000 mile rated filter and with only 3,000 miles on it I would have expected straight pleats. We had an earlier post of a Microgard who's seam connection failed and caused the owner to gradually lose 2 quarts over time. People have commented about how they like the build quality but the performance appears to be proving otherwise.

It was pretty straight before I folded the pleats back looking for any debris. I actually pulled this back out of the garbage can to take pictures of it. I don't think it did too bad considering the cold starts and short trips it gets.

Is it me or did some cleaning happen? Thank You for pictures, very clear 👍🇺🇸

Yeah, the bottom of the drain pan was a dark brown varnish as well. No chunkies or anything though so that's good. I was kind of surprised since the engine is very clean inside under the valve covers. This vehicle did sit in a garage for about 12-13 years before we resurrected it. This was only it's third oil change since the resurrection.

The High Mileage oil is most likely doing some minor cleaning. It's nice to see an old Corvette being put back on the road. Did this car have the 100,000 Mileage Place or does it only have 5 digits? What's the mileage on it?

Not sure how I never saw this, but it has a digital dash/odometer and even has a button on the dash to read in kilometers. It's got 128,000 miles on it.

Thank you for the details and I'd forgotten that some came with the digital dash. For some reason it reminds me of the "Moonie" gauges in the C/K GM trucks of the era. They were doing some neat displays then.
