i suspect this is the contributing factor to the oddness.

Yeah, same here. Turns out we used Lucas assembly lube on the bottom end bits. I have no clue what it's made of but I would guess its enough of a wild card to influence the UOA.

We're going to re-use this oil for next weekend's race on the basis that the lube's effect is said and done, and any that make-up oil we throw in will stem the viscosity degradation shown here.

it would be interesting to do another UOA after second race and see how much wear was generated this time around..
