Since this thread I have paid closer attention to the light quality of my 4 AA streamlight when using it to walk at night. I have to admit when I said 15 feet I was off. It does fan out well, and stil provides good light at 50 feet, and better than nothing at 70 feet. It is not on the same level as the light beasts of the Fenix TK 41 and 45 shown above.
