Kia SP-4M1 , What is it?

Not that anything here is correct, but here are some more opinions. Ha ha.Hi guys
Anyone one if the SP 4M1 spec is a full synthetic trans fluid.
I usually switch all my auto over to maxlife very quickly.
If this spec is syn I will take my time with drain and fills every 30k or so.

It's usually impossible to conjure up the details of an Asian specification much less any requirement for base stock. They aren't published anywhere that I've ever seen.
So Maxlife is suitable for ATF SP-IV M (no 1 at the end) and is synthetic, if it were me that's what I'd use. Somebody might come along and state that there is something uber-special about the "1" but I doubt it.

My brother is running this stuff in his 2020 Sonata 8-speed. It also calls for SP4. Shifts buttery smooth, no issues:Hi guys

Just make you sure you buy the blue label, not the black label bottles. And make sure you get all the old fluid out with three drains and fills.
Maxlife ATF is good as well, although this seems to be of higher quality.

Thanks - - - It does seem that the M1 is a different fluid.
Interesting.......
I contacted maxlife and they have yet to get back to me.
However, Amsoil already answered my compatibility question.
They said a big NO - don't use any of our fluids.
Pay once, cry once. Use the proper fluid.
