Bruin101,
What does your owner's manual say to use for your temperature conditions?
The "Yikes, terrible choice..." comment was meant to be a joke. No, your engine won't self destruct. Yes, it should be fine.
I'm up here in Sacramento where the temperatures range from the low 40's in the winter to the 100's in the summer. I use mobil1 5w30 year round for my 02 accord v6.
The "too thin" argument is played out. If it was "too thin", then how is it that I got over 100,000 high revving miles out of my Integra GS-R before it was stolen from me. And that engine was running very strong, no leaks and not using any oil. And I was using Mobil1 5w30 every 5000 miles.
