Yeah I think the elimination of the pinging and increased power is worth a little loss in MPG. A lot of guys over on the Dodge Forum have switched to a 180 degree tstat and had great results from it. That's where I heard about it and read that Dodge had to use a 195 to meet the emissions standards.

Jimmy - You could also try cleaning the armadillo scales off of the radiator!

Ha--right now it's love bug season, hard to keep them off the truck and out of the AC condenser but they should be gone by memorial day...I have been seeing a lot more turtles trying to cross the road lately too..
