Here is my Jackmaster bench set up using a 1/2 reversible drill driving a Top 11-A cycloid oil pump, plastic tank is a cheap kerosene heater fuel tank. Spinning the drill at 650 rpm (according to Makita) it pushed room temperature 5w20 @25 psi at 3/4 of a litre per minute. Originally I built this set up to filter transmission oil, but that wound up with a Frantz on the car. The Jackmaster was bought for a Ford 2.3 4D55 diesel project that is a long way off, rebuilt engine in the garage and the rusty truck is long gone, so I figured...

why not put it to use? It was a fun project to put together and works better than I expected.

WHAT? No beakers of 'before' and 'after' oil?
I thought of that after I ran the oil through, I did see a slight color change on the oils return, oil was low mile with short trips, I think the best thing the toilet paper did was to remove all the moisture that it may have held.

I had to scrounge around the garage to find a litre of used oil, I found a 1/2 litre of 10w30 Penngrade 1 and a 1/2 liter of 5w20 Castrol from my catch pan, the 10w30 had a lot of particles from engine break in, it was drained form a Wix 51515, I found a roll of Costco Kirkland brand about the right size from the bathroom, not the usual paper I use, but seeing it was an experiment, I went all in, lol.

This mix of 10w30 break in filter oil had a lot of small particles you could see glistening under strong light, the 5w20 drain pan oil that been open and exposed to moisture was an ugly milky brown color, mixed together this was not a good oil to put back in anything, the filtered oil turned out a darker tint in color but was visibly clear, not murky looking as before.
