iPhone 6s from Tracfone

Maybe they're pushing these out before 5G obsoletes 4G.

They're definitely last years' model.

They're locked to Tracfone service, which gets expensive when you run data through it. Some people get data-happy and app-happy when their phone's cooler.

They're a good phone. I paid [Consumer Cellular] $160 for mine in August of 2017.

Why's it only $175 ?

I thought these iPhones were like $600 from most places.

They sell them on the Apple site for $900.

The 6S is a 4 year old phone at this point, and I'm not seeing them even refurbished on Apple's site. The most recent phone you can buy from Apple that is still new in box is the iPhone 7 for $449 or the 7+ for $569.

FWIW I bought a used one with a brand new battery for $180 off my coworker 7 months ago. $175 for a new one is a good deal.

Slave child labor and outdated. Apple obsoletes stuff fast. I got a Iphone SE on Tracfone, I don't use it much, but is it much nicer than some locked in budget phone in bubble packaging! It is also has IOS.

I hope Apple still supports this. Following the Tracfone link to their site and clicking on both specs and owners manual gets me nothing. Been using Tracfones for 10 years.

They do. You can still update to iOS 12. They actually still support the iPhone 5s, a now 7 year old phone.

Skippy772 nailed it.
OP/ Das_peiko, warning, battery may not hold much, since it probably sit in a warehouse for 3-4 years.

experience: Iphone SE 32GB prepay from AT&T, kind of same generation....

...The voice of reason!

Actually I think you are right. (OP does not like Apple.)

We've been reeled in.

Ouch. I would worry more about the black foot than any phone at this point.
