Morning all!
Yesterday, a friend of mine wanted to go get some Napa full syn for her next oil changed since it is $2.99 a quart. She just got the car from her parents about 2 months ago. Ironically, on the way to Napa, her oil light came on! We pulled in to Napa and shut off the engine. I pulled the dipstick and it was just touching the tip. 1/2 an inch below the low mark. Her car is a 2011 Subaru Legacy with a 3.6 liter. Takes 6.9 quarts of oil! Her dad had the oil changed at the dealership before she got the car. I figure either the oil change guy wasn't paying attention and only threw in 5 quarts or she is burning oil. I added 2 quarts and it brought it right to the full mark. No drips anywhere and her garage floor is clean (new house.). I'll keep an eye on it. Interesting day!
