Saw this commercial the other day and I gotta say, pretty cool Hyundai. They're really moving in strides these days. I guess what they save in generating unique designs, they make up for in technological R&D

It's really cool that the Korean industries all have each other's backs with this. It's said that LG Chemical will be taking care of the battery packs. Chevy Volt is another proposed user of the Li-Poly batteries.
 
I thought the volt was using lifepo4 batteries, not polymer...

All li ion battery manufacture is in the pacific rim, this is a major issue to us.

Ah yeah you're right. Looked it up and yes Volt is using lithium iron phosphate. I saw Lithium poly on an old source. I wonder who's gonna supply those LiFePO4 bad boys
 
Compressed air tank would be a better storage medium instead of batteries. Shhh, don't tell anyone I said that.
