How to remove old clear bra paint protection film?

It's been on there for more than the 13 years I've owned it. Other than watching Youtube videos, any tips on removing it?

Man I don't envy you. I did a little tiny vinyl anti scratch piece around a wheel well and it was a pib.

I assume its base / clear underneath? If not - there might be a different way.

A heat gun, but don't get it too hot as that will actually make it worse. Hot water will work also if it can sit on it - not just run off. They make special plastic vinyl removal scrapers, which will get under the vinyl but not scratch the paint. At some point you will get most of the vinyl off and be left with glue - which you can usually get off with goof off or goo gone.
 
I would use a garment steamer over a heat gun. If you sit in one spot too long with a heat gun you might burn through the clear bra.
 
After review, what I thought was a reflection of leaves is the clear bra. Yeah go ahead and remove!

As cheap as you can get a hood sprayed from your other posts I’d maybe just grind it all off if it’s that time consuming.
