The Birmingham Bulls were a long time ago.

Good job on the adapter!

This'd be OK on a non-rusted car, but I've had a few where I wouldn't have been happy trusting my life to a arbitary point load on a sill.

Its usually possible to find something more convincingly solid.

I don't have any rust problems. The main reason I made the adapter was that the only other lift point I feel comfortable using is reserved for a jack stand.

The factory jack on my Forester uses the pinch weld to prevent the jack from slipping. The weight of the car is supported on either side of the pinch weld, not the actual pinch weld. Any adapter needs to let the pinch weld go all the way in without bottoming out.
