Help me diagnose a bad CV joint

Update: I finally had a chance to get under the van and check things out. It seems like the carrier bearing on the passenger side has a lot of play in it when you really put some torque on it (the bearing that supports the half shaft between the wheel and the transmission). I then had my wife continuously shift from drive to reverse, and vice versa repeatedly; I have determined that the issue lies solely somewhere in the driveline. I put my hands on the axles and could feel a pronounced clunk whenever the transmission was shifted. I couldn't tell where exactly it was coming from, but it was certainly driveline/transmission. It almost sounded like it was coming from inside the transmission; differential bearing maybe?

All 4 CV boots are clean and sealed, no rips or leaks whatsoever. No weird driveline hum or groan either, or vibrations. Just the clunk.
