Has Purolator fixed the tearing issues?

I contacted them and they told me that if I had a problem that I should use another Oil Filter, and that is what I did.

LoL ... great customer concerns there. Purolator also claimed it was from people hoarding filters and letting them sit too long before using them. Yet, the date codes showed that many that tore were really not very old.

The Purolator Boss isn't going to tear with that polyethylene mesh integrated backing. There's one good Purolator at least.
