Now lookie here....

Nothing’s Changed

"The longstanding benchmark time series of temperatures in the middle to lower atmosphere is that developed by University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH) scientists John Christy and Roy Spencer. It employs measurements made by microwave sounding units (MSUs) carried aloft on NASA satellites. As the satellites orbit the earth, the MSUs observe microwave emissions from oxygen molecules in the earth’s atmosphere. The emissions vary depending on the temperature of the emitting molecule. Thus, they provide an accurate indication of atmospheric temperature and are real-world observations.
The UAH record indicates that the temperature of the middle atmosphere (at an altitude of about 15,000 feet) has warmed only at a rate of +0.03°C (±0.05°C) per decade in the 25 years since inception of high-quality, global satellite temperature measurements."

Pay attention to the scientific results there. Warming is +0.03°C/decade with a margin of error of ±0.05°C. The warming, if any, is miniscule and in the noise floor of our most accurate temperature measurements. Earth's surface temperature has shown higher temperature increases, which is easily explained by increased sun activity and nothing to do with your SUV.

You have to give the Global Warming alarmists some credit. They know that the most accurate temperature measurements show no warming trend of the magnitude they need, and have quietly switched tack to Global Climate Change alarms. Now every time there is a hurricane or snow storm in April somewhere, it is blamed on the US and its evil capitalist industries.

If that doesn't alarm you, they can always go back to Global Cooling Ice Age panic attacks and complete the circle.

Keith.

Advocates of the need to “do something” about global warming seemingly prefer climate model output to actual observations because GCMs, one and all, project a much more scary future climate than observations suggest is likely.

This has been my argument with the "chicken-Little" crowd (UN Control agenda group) for some time. In science, unless a simulation model has been verified with actual observation, it is only of academic interest.

That referee is the independent measurement of temperature in the lower atmosphere made by thermometers carried aloft twice daily by weather balloons released from locations around the world.

Tec97, there is your answer, I believe.

People get so defensive over this global warming debate. FACT: Climates change over time, with or without human intervention. Yes, the EARTH will warm or cool again someday and know one knows when, but it will.

Do you ever notice that the two worst polluting countries in the world the left never criticizes or complains never seem to fix the pollution problems in their country. No the country that is the most prosperous has the cleanest air based on the amount of emissions has to be cleaner than anybody else.
If you want to see what see what real pollution is travel through Russia and Eastern Europe. If you really want to see what real devastation from pollution is really about. China with in the next 5 years will be producing far more pollution than all of North America. We don't even have travel that far to see how bad it is in other countries. Take a trip over the Mexican Border and drive through Mexico City if you really want to see air pollution. But I don't see Green Peace protesting over there. It just proves the environmentalist extremists are really all about.

Good point. India and China signed the Kyoto treaty since it allows them to go on polluting. It would have only restricted us if we signed it. Fortunately the Republicans controlled the Senate at the time. There is some evidence that the massive particulates spewing from the foundries in Asia are cooling the Pacific Ocean and leading to the El Ninos that leave our Midwest dry in the summer. Guess where you haven't read much about this? Forbes Magazine, the capitalist tool, did have a short article about it some time ago.
