With a TBN of 4.5 at 5.5K, I'd say that would be pushing it. I'd probably go to 6.5K and call it even.

I'm not an expert at reading these things, but with the limited amount of info provided I'd say this UOA looks pretty darn good. Looks like this engine likes the high 30 Visc GC. (Patman will be pleased.) Would be intersting to compare a couple of runs of GC with a couple of runs of M1 0w20. Ever consider running such an experiment?

As far as the TBN, I think it has to get down to 1.0 with Blackstone Labs method to be of concern, so I believe it would make 7500 miles.

Regarding TBN, don't forget that it will drop faster in colder weather, plus it often drops faster on the first run with a new oil too. I think 7500 would be no problem for this oil in this vehicle, and the TBN will probably still end up higher at the end of his next UOA than it did on this one.

Geeeeeeesh, I seem to be in the minority here. My hypothesis was based on not doing another UOA and being safe.

427z06 Yes I am planning on running M1 0-20 next winter, the current fill of GC should reach 7500 miles sometime in Oct. so my next fill will be for the winter of 04-05,and therein lies the rub, I am a firm beleiver in picking one brand/type of and sticking with it. With M1 I can run a 0-20 in the winter and mix 0-30/0-40 in the summer for a GC like vis. I think GC is a superior oil but it doesn't give me this flexability.

Since I am a one fingered typer any element in the uoa that I didn't list was 0,it saves me typing.Anyone needing anymore info just ask and I will post.

Thanks one and all for your valued input
