As some of you may have noticed, i recently purchased a brand new Toyota LC Prado.
So yesterday i went to the dealer to do the first break in oil change (Both the manual and the dealer recommends doing it).
After i got back home i noticed that they they charged me for a Gasoline oil filter that is commonly used in most 4-cyl Toyota gasoline engines. I was a bit skeptical at first so i went out, popped open the hood and verified the oil filter model printed on the filter can and they DID USE the gasoline engine oil filter.
Do you think i should leave it like that or i should go back and start a (remove eidt - mod)?
Does using a gasoline engine oil filter in a diesel engine affects its reliability, performance and longevity?
PD. I have another friend that purchased the same car along with me and i'll verify with his to see if they also used the gasoline engine oil filter. Ill report back when i have the opportunity to check his car.
In case anyone wants to know what filter they used, it was a Toyota 90915-YZZG1 and according to a Toyota parts website it should be a 90915-20003
