Just showing a Fram Endurance FE11665 that was on a jeep 3.6l pentastar for 4000 miles. It is slightly twisted just like almost all other pentastar oil filters. The engine was running 5w30 Redline oil.

that’s a good looking straight filter.
Here is a Chinese made Champ XL Synthetic off a Pentastar after almost 12k miles. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/pentastar-v6-champ-p1009xl-with-11-199-miles.361642/
I tighten it to 25nm which is what it says on the filter housing cap, once the cap seats the torque wrench immediately beeps. What did you torque it down to?
Good to know.. Thanks.I tighten it to 25nm which is what it says on the filter housing cap, once the cap seats the torque wrench immediately beeps.
We will say the twisted filters are a performance “feature” hahahaThe twist acts like an intake "tornado" with the oil flow, and makes the filter 12% more efficient.
Mine never come out looking like that. Always pretty straight. I think I’ve only used ST filters on our pentastJust showing a Fram Endurance FE11665 that was on a jeep 3.6l pentastar for 4000 miles. ive always used MP10060 in our 3.6 pentastar and they haven’t twisted like that.So even the Endurance isn't strong enough to resist twisting
How does that compare to the Wix XP/Napa Platinum?
