Yep, it's one thing to have free trade with countries that are playing on a level playing field, but when they're using child labor, no pollution standards, no safety standards, etc... we can't compete.

Civilized societies don't put 12 year olds to work, dump hazardous material in the river by the factory and allow workers to be injured while on the job. But for some reason we're okay buying what they produce?

Plus the leaders of both sides being insulated from their treaties, laws passed, and trade agreements. Good, bad or indifferent this serves the leaders of both sides ambitions for very different reasons. This country is on a bobsled to Hades with O.J Simpson at the brake controls.

That's the FAKE U2 number.

What is the U6 number right now, and you can
double that number as well, then you will have a good idea of the ACTUAL number of unemployed workers.

typical drivel... the restaurants and entertainment venues in Minnesota are packed and there are help wanted signs all over. I cannot comment on the rest of the US but here it looks like very low unemployment.

LOL.. Sure they are, perhaps in a few wealthier areas, but around the state, NOPE.

How is Stamford CT doing? Isn't that place almost as rich as Beverly Hills CA or am I thinking of another similar sounding place in CT?

It is a "wealth island" in a state that is quickly growing poorer and poorer overall. Much of CT is in dire circumstances.
