That's an amazing collection you have. My first race bike was a 1976 Suzuki RM250A. I believe I have read every letter on every page of every motorcycle magazine written in those days. My first street bike was a 1980 Kawasaki KZ550A1 and the addiction was set. I would ride my bicycle (not old enough for a driver's license) to the motorcycle shops to stare through the glass and dream that some day I'd own that (YZ125, RM125, CR125, KX125, RD400,,, you name it).

I survived my youth with only a few broken bones and chipped teeth but NOTHING in this world will ever replace those memories.

I wish you good luck with your sale and I hope they go to someone who's face will be turned to a huge smile when they relive those fabulous years.

Yes, they make for good reading. I had many bikes back then. Suzuki 550, Yamaha RD 350, Honda CB750, Honda 50, Yamaha 100 twin jet and more. I just looked into cost of shipping. Well over $100, crazy to me. Might take them to a flea market. Some vendor may take them all. We will see....

Many memories from long ago. My first bike was a Hodaka Combat Wombat 125. My friend and I both bought bikes at the same time. He bought the Super Rat. I remember that it had this large orange air cleaner and had what seemed like no exhaust muffling. We were both around age 14 and use to ride on the grounds of an old cement factory near our houses. The factory had been built and expanded on throughout the decades but was first built in the early 1900's. There was a small lake adjacent to it that we could go catch a dip in when we really go hot. I haven't thought about those times for a long time. Once again, thanks BITOG for jogging my memory.
