porterhouse is basically half strip and the other side is tenderloin.
its a great value compared to some other cuts
Obviously I could say USDA Prime Fillet is my favorite but at 24.99/lb I couldnt enjoy it often.
the 10.99/lb$ or so for a porterhouse is alot of value
I usually eat the tenderloin side immediately and save a chunk of the strip side for a steak sandwich leftover
(the steaks are usually 1.5lb or so each)
Hanger steak sounds interesting, I'll have to ask the local butcher about it.
Probably make some killer steak soft tacos with it.
Straight up grilling? I've shopped around all the local stores. Costco has the best choice top sirloins. Best grilling steaks for the money in my area.
